This is a great wetsuit. Very comfortable, good maneuverability in it and warm this is my first wetsuit and wow is it a game changer. The water temp is around 61 here in so cal right now and I stayed warm the whole dive! Highly recommend to anyone wanting to purchase a 5mm suit

Waihana Essential 3mm
Suit is super warm for Hawaii, even during winter months. Sizes run a bit small. I’m around 155-160 pounds and bought a ML, it’s a bit tight for my liking but other than that the suit is super comfortable. My son has the same suit and he loves it. No more freezing azz for him. We have to flush water in during dives cause it gets too hot. Customer service was great and fast shipping.

Great for a quick suit
This suit is great for those that don’t need a open cell and want to get it on without lube. I got the 1mil It’s warm and protective what else do you need? I also own a goliath grouper 3 mil that I love but it’s not great for shallow dives and warm water in Hawaii because I overheat. Waihana makes a great product and I would recommend them to anyone!

It's very hot in it
Hi-
If you're normally comfortable while others are always cold around you, you might be better with a 1mm suit. I bought the 3mm and started using it in Maui during the month of April. I'm at the point where I constantly must insert new water to the suit all the time to cool down.
It fits great and everything is cool, just note that it might be too warm for you in the Hawaiian water in the spring-summer.

Very well made and comfortable suit. 5mm maybe a little too insulated for my needs, but I aint getting cold so no can complain. Whistle for safety and the knife pocket to keep tools for scientific diving are clutch! Going to get the 3mm in same design!

Excellent wetsuit
This my first wetsuit from Waihana and I am very impressed. I have worn just about every type of wetsuit out there, surf, dive, spearfishing, etc. and just about every brand imaginable. Waihana holds there own in every category - quality, fit, design, affordability and most importantly customer service. My new essentials 5mm fits perfectly and is of the best quality. I am very impressed with the snap closures and the safety whistle, both great features for what this suit was designed for. The suit performs as expected in the water, amazingly. I am looking forward to making more purchase from Waihana and can’t wait to see what other products they come up with!
